India's auto component sector has been expanding as global manufacturers seek to diversify their supply chains. According to industry data, the Indian auto component industry recorded significant growth in recent years, with exports becoming an increasingly important segment.

Uno Minda, established in 1958, has evolved from a small component manufacturer to a major automotive technology supplier. The company operates multiple manufacturing facilities across India and has technical collaborations with several international automotive technology providers.

The automotive technology sector in India has been transitioning toward electric and connected vehicle solutions, driven by government policies promoting electric mobility and reduced emissions. Industry analysts project continued growth in the domestic electric vehicle component market, with estimates suggesting it could reach significant scale by 2030.

The company's focus on research and development comes as Indian automotive suppliers are working to upgrade their technological capabilities to meet international standards and compete in the global market. The auto component industry in India employs over 5 million people and contributes approximately 2.3% to the country's GDP.
