Union Minister Hardeep Puri assures industry of stability in ethanol prices: ANI
Puri said that ethanol blending percentage has increased from 1.53% in 2014 to 15% in 2024.
The Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Puri, assured industry of stability in the prices of ethanol, ANI.
Talking at the IFGE's India Bio Energy and Tech Expo in New Delhi, Puri said that the government was committed to furthering alternative fuels such as ethanol, for future automobiles, ANI noted.
It further stated that the government had established second generation refineries to make ethanol from stubble in Haryana and bamboo in Assam.
Puri said that ethanol blending percentage has increased from 1.53% in 2014 to 15% in 2024.
"We advanced the 20% target by five years to be completed by ethanol blending year for 2025, which will be by October 2025. We are on track to achieve that."
