Ultraviolette Automotive has introduced the F99 Factory Racing Platform, positioning it as India’s first superbike. Originally revealed at the EICMA event in Milan in 2023, the F99 has now been unveiled as a pre-production prototype.

With the F99, Ultraviolette aims to set two major records within the next 90 days: the highest top speed and the fastest quarter-mile time for an Indian motorcycle. The superbike has been developed entirely at Ultraviolette’s R&D headquarters in Bengaluru and boasts a power output more than twice that of any other production motorcycle by an Indian company.

This launch highlights India’s emerging role in the global automotive industry, showcasing its capacity for innovation, design, and engineering. Ultraviolette sees racing as a key avenue to advance its technology and design capabilities.

The breakthroughs made with the F99 are expected to also benefit the F77 platform, which is currently available in five cities: Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Pune, and Bengaluru. Additional locations, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, and Mangalore, are set to open next month.

Ultraviolette currently offeres the F77 model which is an electric motorcycle designed for both city commuting and longer rides. It is equipped with a high-performance lithium-ion battery pack that offers a range of up to 307 km on a single charge, depending on the riding conditions and variant.

The motorcycle is powered by an electric motor that delivers 29 kW (38.8 hp) of power and 95 Nm of torque, allowing for quick acceleration. It features three riding modes—Eco, Sport, and Insane—tailoring the performance to the rider’s needs. The F77 comes with a steel trellis frame, adjustable suspension, and disc brakes with dual-channel ABS for added safety.

Charging options include a standard charger and a fast charger, allowing flexibility based on user preferences. The design is modern and aerodynamic, integrating technology such as a TFT display, smartphone connectivity, and real-time vehicle diagnostics.
