Ultraviolette Tesseract Surpasses 50,000 Pre-Bookings Within Two Weeks
Ultraviolette Automotive’s first electric scooter, the Tesseract, has received over 50,000 pre-bookings in two weeks, reflecting consumer interest in advanced electric mobility solutions. The model features safety technologies, a 261 km range, and fast-charging capabilities.
Ultraviolette Automotive has announced that its latest electric scooter, the Tesseract, has surpassed 50,000 pre-bookings within two weeks of its global unveiling. This milestone highlights the growing consumer interest in electric two-wheelers and marks a significant step for the company as it expands its portfolio beyond performance motorcycles, the company said.
The Tesseract, positioned as an advanced urban mobility solution, comes equipped with integrated radar and a dashcam, along with Omnisense mirrors that offer Blindspot Detection, Lane Change Assist, Overtaking Assist, and real-time Collision Alerts. Additional safety and efficiency features include traction control and dynamic regenerative braking. A 7-inch touchscreen TFT display and multi-color LED indicators embedded in the ORVMs enhance rider awareness.
Powered by a 20 bhp (14.7 kW) motor, the Tesseract offers an inter-city range of up to 261 km (IDC). It supports fast charging, reaching 80% charge in under an hour, making it a viable option for both city commuting and long-distance travel. The scooter is available in four color options: Desert Sand, Stealth Black, Sonic Pink, and Solar White. Pre-bookings are currently open on the company’s website for ₹999.
The Tesseract marks Ultraviolette’s entry into the electric scooter segment, aligning with the company’s broader expansion strategy. Over the next three years, Ultraviolette plans to introduce 12 new products across five platforms: F Series, S Series, L Series, X Series, and B Series. The company, backed by TVS Motor, has set a target of reaching at least 1 lakh annual sales within the next three to four years.
With increasing adoption of electric two-wheelers in India, particularly in the scooter segment, the Tesseract’s early response indicates strong market potential. Major players such as Bajaj Auto, Ola Electric, TVS Motor, and Ather Energy currently dominate the space, while the electric motorcycle segment is still in its early stages with limited offerings.
As Ultraviolette expands its product lineup, the Tesseract’s pre-booking milestone underscores the growing demand for feature-rich electric scooters in the Indian market.
