Ultraviolette has confirmed that its upcoming Shockwave electric motorcycle will use the company’s newly developed 100V architecture and will launch in the first quarter of 2027. The architecture is expected to enable stronger power delivery, improved thermal efficiency and faster charging on the lightweight motorcycle platform.
The Shockwave, also referred to as FUNDURO, is positioned as a lightweight motorcycle focused on riding dynamics, with its design concept drawing inspiration from classic two-stroke motorcycles.
Ultraviolette Shockwave Production Preparations Underway
Ultraviolette has started setting up a production line for the Shockwave at its existing manufacturing facility. The company has also confirmed that the motorcycle will be offered in both single-seat and dual-seat configurations.
According to co-founder and CEO Narayan Subramaniam, the Shockwave and Tesseract have been developed in parallel over the past year, with work already underway on the Shockwave production line.
Shockwave 100V Architecture Follows Tesseract
The Shockwave’s move to the 100V architecture follows Ultraviolette’s earlier announcement that the Tesseract would also adopt the technology. The company says the two motorcycles are intended for different riding experiences, despite sharing the architecture.
Ultraviolette has not yet disclosed the Shockwave’s final specifications. Further details, including additional launch information, will be announced closer to its Q1 2027 introduction.
