Ultraviolette launches UV SQUADRON, flags off first community ride to celebrate World Motorcycle Day

TVS Motor Company-backed two-wheeler firm Ultraviolette has launched its official riding community – UV SQUADRON, and hosted an inaugural community ride in Bengaluru, to celebrate World Motorcycle Day.

The UV SQUADRON covered a cumulative distance of over 2,000 kilometres in a single day, bringing together F77 pilots on a common platform. UV SQUADRON is a platform for motorcycle enthusiasts to connect and contribute to Ultraviolette’s rapidly expanding top-of-the-line electric motorcycle ecosystem. The F77 is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 3.8 lakh and comes in three forms - Airstrike, Shadow, and Laser.

In February, the firm said it plans to raise US$ 120 million to fund its vehicle development and expansion plan. Ultraviolette has raised over $55 million since inception, and previous financing rounds have seen participation from leading investment companies including Europe's EXOR Capital, US-based Qualcomm Ventures, TVS Motor Company, Zoho Corp, Gofrugal Technologies and Speciale Invest. The company is establishing a network of dealerships nationwide, making it easier for customers to purchase and service their Ultraviolette electric vehicles. Ultraviolette is also accelerating its expansion into new international markets, where it sees a growing demand for performance electric motorcycles.
