Ultraviolette Enters Northeast India With First Experience Centre in Aizawl
The Bengaluru-based EV maker has opened its first retail and service outlet in Northeast India, extending its sales and aftersales network to Mizoram.
Ultraviolette Automotive has expanded its retail footprint into Northeast India with the inauguration of its first UV Space Station in Aizawl, Mizoram, marking the company's entry into the region. The new facility has been established in partnership with dealer MSS Motors and will offer sales, service and customer support for the company's electric motorcycles.
The Aizawl outlet is designed as a full-service experience centre, providing prospective customers with test rides, vehicle sales, aftersales support, accessories and branded merchandise. The move adds to Ultraviolette's growing national retail and service network as the company looks to increase access to its electric two-wheeler portfolio across new markets.
The facility will showcase Ultraviolette's current products, including the F77 and X-47 models. According to the company, the motorcycles are powered by a 10.3 kWh battery pack and deliver an IDC-certified range of 323 km on a single charge. The powertrain develops 40.2 hp and 100 Nm of torque.
“The Northeast is home to one of India's most passionate riding communities, with a strong culture of motorcycling and adventure. We have seen growing interest for Ultraviolette from customers across the region, making Aizawl a natural choice for our first experience centre in Northeast India,” said Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder, Ultraviolette.
The expansion follows a series of initiatives announced by the company in recent months, including its 'Kill the Petrol Bill' programme, which offers purchase incentives linked to a customer's previous vehicle usage, and its collaboration with Bolt.Earth to expand access to charging infrastructure. Under the programme, eligible customers can receive benefits of up to ₹30,000 when purchasing an Ultraviolette motorcycle.
The Aizawl outlet is located at Ramhlun North, near Zangena Petrol Pump, and will serve as Ultraviolette's first customer touchpoint in Northeast India.
