TVS Supply Chain Solutions Secures Three-Year Daimler Contract for Chennai Facility

The supply chain solutions provider will deploy 700 employees to manage end-to-end in-plant warehouse operations at Daimler India Commercial Vehicles' manufacturing facility, leveraging IoT and automation technologies.

TVS Supply Chain Solutions Limited has been awarded a three-year contract by Daimler India Commercial Vehicles to manage in-plant warehouse operations at its Chennai manufacturing facility.

The agreement will see approximately 700 TVS SCS employees deployed to handle end-to-end warehouse operations, focusing on material flow management, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency improvements within the DICV production environment.

The partnership will incorporate several advanced technologies to enhance warehouse management capabilities. These include IoT-based tracking systems for real-time visibility, automation-led systems designed to minimize manual handling, predictive analytics for improved planning processes, and digital dashboards providing centralized performance monitoring.

Sukumar K, CEO for India and MEA at TVS Supply Chain Solutions, noted the company's existing relationship with Daimler. "We are pleased to extend our long-standing partnership with Daimler through this significant engagement," he said, highlighting the company's experience in in-plant logistics and automation-led operations.

C. Muthu Maruthachalam, President and Chief Operating Officer at Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, emphasized the importance of logistics efficiency. "Efficient in-plant logistics is vital to our production success," he stated, adding that the partnership would allow DICV to benefit from TVS SCS's expertise and technology-driven approach.

TVS Supply Chain Solutions, part of the TVS Mobility Group, operates across 25 countries with over 17,000 employees. The company serves 91 Fortune Global 500 customers across multiple industries including automotive, industrial, consumer, technology, rail, utilities, and healthcare sectors.
