TVS Srichakra will invest Rs 49.2 crore in its manufacturing facilities in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, and Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, to increase production capacity and meet rising demand for two- and three-wheeler tyres.

The company said in a regulatory filing on October 17 that the investment will fund line balancing and debottlenecking initiatives, including an increase in curing capacity. The additional capacity is expected to be introduced in phases from January 2027.

The proposed expansion is expected to increase the company's manufacturing capacity by around 6-7%. TVS Srichakra currently has an annual production capacity of approximately 34-35 million tyres, with capacity utilisation at 85-90%.

The company will finance the investment through a mix of debt and equity. The expenditure was approved by the managing director on October 17, 2026.

TVS Srichakra manufactures tyres for two- and three-wheelers and markets its products under the Eurogrip brand. The planned investment is aimed at expanding output at its existing facilities rather than establishing a new manufacturing unit.
