TVS SCS expands warehouse footprint in India
With this expansion, the company's total warehouse capacity has reached to 21.85 million sq. ft.
TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS) has increased its warehousing capacity in India with a new 6,50,000 sq. ft. facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. This expansion brings the company's total warehouse capacity to 21.85 million sq. ft. The new facility, equipped with advanced automation and IT systems, has created 1200 jobs, including 300 for women employees, in line with customer growth requirements.
Ravi Viswanathan, Managing Director, TVS Supply Chain Solutions Ltd., speaking on the announcement said “This marks a pivotal step in our commitment to efficiency, innovation and delivering unparalleled service to our customers.”
Inaugurating the new facility, K N Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO, TVS Motor Company said, “This new facility by TVS SCS demonstrates the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance service capabilities and meet customers' evolving needs. We have strategically positioned our Global Parts Distribution Centre in this new facility, which will serve as a hub for our global market. I am confident that TVS SCS through their process excellence, business know-how and technical expertise will provide services par excellence.”
Backed by leading technology systems and material handling equipment, TVS SCS offers a range of warehouse storage options, including contract warehousing, cross-docking, and temperature-controlled facilities. The new warehouse reflects TVS SCS's focus on customer-centricity, process excellence, and diversity, with around 300 women employees in various roles.
Globally, TVS Supply Chain Solutions operates approximately 300 warehouses across five continents, covering over 27 million square feet of warehousing space.
