TVS Motor Company Records 17% Sales Growth in March 2025

TVS Motor Company reported strong sales growth of 17% in March 2025, with total sales reaching 414,687 units, up from 354,592 units in March 2024. This growth was driven by impressive performances in the two-wheeler, electric vehicle, and export segments.

Two-Wheeler Sales Surge by 16%

The company's two-wheeler sales grew 16%, with 400,120 units sold in March 2025, compared to 344,446 units in the same month last year.

  • Domestic Two-Wheelers: Sales rose 14% to 297,622 units, up from 260,532 units in March 2024.

  • Motorcycles: Achieved a 15% growth, with sales increasing to 196,734 units from 171,611 units in the previous year.

  • Scooters: Led the segment with 27% growth, reaching 166,297 units, up from 131,472 units in March 2024.

Electric Vehicle Sales Soar by 77%

TVS' electric vehicle (EV) sales recorded an impressive 77% increase, with 26,935 units sold in March 2025, compared to 15,250 units in March 2024. This reflects the company's expanding presence in the EV segment and growing consumer demand for sustainable mobility solutions.

Exports and Three-Wheeler Sales Show Strong Growth

  • Exports: The company’s total exports saw 23% growth, reaching 113,464 units, compared to 91,972 units in March 2024.

  • Two-Wheeler Exports: Increased by 22%, with sales rising to 102,498 units from 83,914 units in the previous year.

  • Three-Wheelers: This segment witnessed 44% growth, with sales increasing from 10,146 units in March 2024 to 14,567 units in March 2025.

Q4 FY 2024-25 Performance

In the fourth quarter of FY 2024-25, TVS Motor’s total two-wheeler sales grew 14%, reaching 1.18 million units, compared to 1.03 million units in Q4 FY 2023-24. Three-wheeler sales saw a 21% increase, with 37,000 units sold, up from 30,000 units in the same quarter last year.

Exports for the quarter surged 31%, with sales growing from 260,000 units in Q4 FY 2023-24 to 340,000 units in Q4 FY 2024-25.

FY 2024-25: TVS Achieves Record 4.74 Million Sales

For the full financial year 2024-25, TVS Motor recorded its highest-ever annual sales, reaching 4.74 million units, a 13% growth from 4.19 million units in FY 2023-24.

  • Two-Wheeler Sales: Increased 12% to 4.33 million units, compared to 3.85 million units in the previous fiscal year.

  • Three-Wheelers: Sales stood at 135,000 units, slightly lower than the 146,000 units recorded in FY 2023-24.

  • Total Exports: Grew 18%, with sales increasing from 1.013 million units in FY 2023-24 to 1.195 million units in FY 2024-25.

Operating in over 80 countries, TVS Motor is expanding its electric mobility offerings while strengthening its presence in international markets.
