TVS Motor Company delivered two iQube electric scooters to the Governorate of Vatican City State as part of efforts to advance sustainable mobility solutions within the Vatican's operational framework.
The delivery, completed on February 5, stems from a collaboration between the Vatican and Exelentia, which has previously worked on innovation and sustainability initiatives. TVS Motor Italia partnered with Exelentia to facilitate the provision of the electric vehicles.
The scooters align with the Vatican's existing ecological transition initiatives aimed at implementing zero-emission mobility for daily operational requirements. The Governorate has prioritized efficiency, reliability, and environmental considerations in its transportation planning.
Giovanni Notarbartolo di Furnari, General Manager of TVS Motor Italia, stated the deployment in the Vatican setting validates the company's urban electric mobility approach. "The deployment of TVS iQube electric scooters in a prestigious setting such as the Vatican validates our vision for urban electric mobility—anchored in reliability, intuitive usability, and world class quality," Notarbartolo di Furnari said.
Giovanni Zappia, Founder and Owner of Exelentia, noted the partnership strengthens the company's commitment to mobility solutions for institutional contexts.
The TVS iQube model was selected for its silent operation and technical specifications suited to the Vatican's historic environment. The scooter offers a range of up to 100 kilometers in eco mode and features the SmartXonnect connectivity system accessible through a TFT display and mobile application.
Technical features include zero emissions, reduced noise levels, and connectivity capabilities designed for urban transportation.
