TVS Motor Company Appoints Ravindran Shanmugam as Independent Director

Shanmugam, co-founder of AI-enabled platform Mablle and an Oxford alumnus, joins the board for a five-year term subject to shareholder approval.

TVS Motor Company has appointed Ravindran Shanmugam as an independent director for five consecutive years, effective 13 May 2026, subject to shareholder approval, the Bengaluru-headquartered two- and three-wheeler manufacturer announced on 14 May 2026.

Shanmugam is co-founder and Executive Chairman of Mablle, an AI-enabled interior design and renovation platform based in Singapore. He previously worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company and holds a degree from the University of Oxford. His background spans digital transformation, consumer-focused businesses, AI-led platforms and strategic governance across global markets.

TVS Motor Company is part of TVS Venu Group and operates four manufacturing facilities in India and Indonesia. The company sells products across 90 countries and is the only two-wheeler manufacturer to have received the Deming Prize. Its group entities include Norton Motorcycles in the United Kingdom and TVS Ebike Company AG, which holds a leading position in Switzerland's e-bike market.
