TVS Motor Company has rolled out the one millionth TVS iQube electric scooter from its Hosur manufacturing facility, marking a production milestone for the company's electric two-wheeler business nearly six years after the model's launch in 2020.
The milestone comes as India's electric two-wheeler market continues to expand, with manufacturers increasing investments in local manufacturing, product development and charging ecosystems. TVS said the iQube portfolio has been developed through in-house engineering and research and development, with the scooters designed and manufactured in India.
The TVS iQube range is currently offered with multiple battery capacities, varying riding ranges and connected features. The company said the model is supported by a sales and service network of more than 3,300 touchpoints across over 3,000 cities, alongside investments in manufacturing capacity.
According to TVS, iQube riders have collectively covered more than 14.94 billion kilometres since the scooter's launch, contributing to an estimated avoidance of 522,969 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. The company said this is equivalent to the carbon sequestration capacity of nearly 20.9 million trees.
"The rollout of one million TVS iQubes reflects the scale at which electric mobility is becoming part of everyday life in India. The milestone is built on years of investment in engineering, innovation and manufacturing capabilities that have enabled us to build world-class electric mobility solutions designed and manufactured in India for the world," said Sudarshan Venu, Chairman, TVS Motor Company.
