TVS Apache RTX 300 Launched at ₹1.99 Lakh, Enters Adventure Touring Segment

TVS Motor Company has launched the Apache RTX, marking its entry into the adventure touring segment with an introductory price of ₹1,99,000. The motorcycle introduces the company's new RT-XD4 engine platform to the market.

The Apache RTX is powered by a 299.1cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 36 PS at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission and features fuel injection along with an assist and slipper clutch.

The motorcycle comes equipped with four ride modes—Urban, Rain, Tour, and Rally—each calibrated to adjust engine response, traction control, and ABS settings for different terrain conditions. Additional features include a bi-directional quickshifter, cruise control, and linear traction control.

Electronics include a five-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and map mirroring capabilities. The motorcycle also features a tire pressure monitoring system, adjustable levers, and Class-D headlamps with daytime running lights.

The chassis comprises a steel trellis frame paired with long-travel suspension from WP. The front suspension uses an inverted cartridge fork, while the rear features a mono-tube setup with a floating piston design. The ergonomics are designed to accommodate both seated and standing riding positions for off-road use.

The Apache RTX offers mounting points for panniers and top cases, with GIVI luggage accessories available. Additional accessories include engine guards, tank protection, knuckle guards, and USB charging ports.

Gaurav Gupta, President of TVS Motor Company's 2W India Business, stated that the company aims to redefine the adventure touring segment. Vimal Sumbly, Head of Premium Business, noted that the motorcycle builds on the Apache brand's two-decade legacy and its community of over six million riders globally.

The RT-XD4 engine platform features dual overhead cams, a dual oil pump system, dual cooling jackets, and a dual breather system. The platform is designed to support ethanol-blended fuels while meeting emission standards.

The TVS Apache RTX is available in five color options: Viper Green, Metallic Blue, Pearl White, Lightning Black, and Tarn Bronze, all featuring red accent highlights. The motorcycle is offered in three variants across its color range.
