Bengaluru-based Tresa Motors has unveiled its first electric truck, the Model V0.1, built on its Axial Flux Motor Platform: FLUX350. Designed for the global market, the concept electric truck showcases Tresa Motors' take on the industrial design, axial flux powertrain and safe battery packs for medium and heavy electric trucks.
As per a company statement, currently, India's fleet comprises 2.8 million trucks, which contribute to 60 percent of emissions. With the forthcoming vehicle scrappage policy in 2024 and rising fuel expenses, the present conditions are favourable for a transition towards medium and heavy electric trucks.
Tresa Motors aims to lead this shift by offering secure, innovative, and environmentally friendly alternatives to conventional diesel trucks, focusing on the lowest total cost of ownership.
At the core of Tresa's trucks lies its Axial Flux Motor technology, called FLUX350, delivering up to 350kW continuous power, making Tresa the only Indian OEM with this kind of power output. Entirely developed in India, and with a handful of axial flux motors manufacturers in the world, gives Tresa Motors a competitive edge, the company claims in a press release.
