Toyota Kirloskar recorded a significant new milestone with its Glanza and the Urban Cruiser, together clocking cumulative wholesales of over 100,000 units.

Launched in June 2019 and September 2020 respectively, both the Glanza and the Urban Cruiser clocked 65,000 units and over 35,000 units in wholesales respectively.

Accordiong to the company, the Glanza and the Urban Cruiser have played a significant role in catering to 66 percent of first-time Toyota buyers, especially in Tier 2 and 3 markets. The Glanza and Urban Cruiser are Toyota-badged versions of the Maruti Baleno and Maruti Vitara Brezza.

Atul Sood, Associate VP, Sales, and Strategic Marketing, TKM, said, “The Glanza and the Urban Cruiser have witnessed phenomenal success over the years, with the Glanza registering more than 25 percent growth when compared to its sales in 2020.”

“Our focus on expanding footprints covering the tier 2 and 3 markets, has enhanced TKM product accessibility and service coverage to a wider and newer set of customer base,” he added.
