Toyota Kirloskar Motor participated in the Advantage Maharashtra Expo 2026, showcasing its flex-fuel strong hybrid electric vehicle technology and outlining its manufacturing and skilling initiatives in the state.
The company's pavilion at the expo featured the HyCross Flexi-Fuel Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicle (FFV SHEV), demonstrating its multi-pathway approach to sustainable mobility and carbon neutrality goals.
The Advantage Maharashtra Expo 2026, organized by the Marathwada Association of Small-Scale Industries and Agriculture (MASSIA) in collaboration with the Government of Maharashtra, is held once every three years and represents one of the largest industry exhibitions in the Marathwada region.
TKM conducted a session on Toyota Culture for industry and educational institution representatives, focusing on quality manufacturing, continuous improvement, and skill development practices.
Sudeep Dalvi, Chief Communication Officer, Senior Vice President and Director at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, acknowledged the state government's support for the company's greenfield manufacturing project. He emphasized that the upcoming facility would enhance TKM's operational presence in Maharashtra with a focus on localization and local development opportunities.
The automaker recently formalized a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Maharashtra to develop a skilling ecosystem across the state, with particular emphasis on Industrial Training Institutes.
As part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives in education, TKM has upgraded infrastructure and learning facilities in 11 government schools in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, contributing to improved educational environments in local communities.
The company's participation in the expo aligns with its stated objectives of advancing cleaner mobility solutions and supporting India's energy transition goals through technology awareness and industry collaboration.
