Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) reported total sales of 33,128 units in May 2026, registering a 7 per cent year-on-year increase compared to 30,864 units sold in May 2025. The company’s performance comprised domestic dispatches of 30,574 units and exports of 2,554 units.
Domestic sales grew 4 per cent year-on-year from 29,280 units in May 2025 to 30,574 units in May 2026, while exports increased 61 per cent to 2,554 units from 1,584 units during the same period.
For the January-May period, TKM reported cumulative sales of 1,70,322 units, up 17 per cent from 1,46,021 units recorded in the corresponding period of 2025. Domestic sales during the five months stood at 1,57,225 units, reflecting a 16 per cent increase, while exports rose 20 per cent to 13,097 units.
Commenting on the company’s sales performance, Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “Our sales performance in May 2026 reflects the positive market acceptance of Toyota’s offerings and overall ownership experience.”
The company also stated that it crossed the milestone of 300,000 strong hybrid electric vehicle (SHEV) sales in India during the month, citing growing adoption of hybrid technology and cleaner mobility solutions.
