Toyota Kirloskar Motor Reports 32,842 Unit Sales in August 2026

For the January-to-August period of calendar year 2026, TKM's cumulative sales reached 266,696 units, a 10% increase.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) sold 32,842 vehicles in August 2026, the company said Tuesday, comprising 28,410 units sold domestically and 4,432 units exported.

For the January-to-August period of calendar year 2026, TKM's cumulative sales reached 266,696 units, a 10% increase over the 241,733 units sold in the same period last year. Domestic sales for the eight-month period rose 11% to 244,592 units, up from 219,992 units a year earlier. Exports grew 2% to 22,104 units, compared with 21,741 units in the January-August 2025 period.

Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, attributed the results to the company's focus on customer needs and said the company was optimistic about the upcoming festive season, according to a company statement.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor is a joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan, which holds an 89% stake, and Kirloskar Systems Limited of India, which holds the remaining 11%. The company employs 6,662 people and operates on approximately 432 acres of land, with 74,000 square meters of building area. Its combined installed production capacity across its two plants is up to 342,000 units annually.

The company's first plant, established in October 1997 and operational since December 1999, is located in Bidadi, Karnataka, and manufactures the Innova HyCross, Innova Crysta, Fortuner and Legender models. It has an installed capacity of up to 132,000 units.

TKM's second plant, also located in Bidadi and in operation since December 2010, produces the Camry Hybrid, Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Hilux, with an installed capacity of up to 210,000 units.
