Toyota Kirloskar Motor Records 28% Growth in November Sales

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has reported sales of 33,752 units for November 2025, marking a 28% year-on-year increase compared to 26,323 units sold in November 2024.

The sales figure comprises 30,085 units in the domestic market and 3,667 units in exports. The company attributes the growth to sustained momentum following the festive season, supported by government GST reforms.

"Following a positive festive season supported by the government's progressive GST reforms, we continue to witness a strong momentum, with a growth of 28%," said Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President of Sales, Service, and Used Car Business at TKM.

The automaker recently introduced the Urban Cruiser Hyryder Aero Edition and Fortuner Leader Edition, which have contributed to the sales performance. Beyond product launches, Toyota Kirloskar has focused on customer engagement initiatives.

In November, the company hosted Drum Tao, Japan's acclaimed performance group and Toyota's brand ambassador, as part of a 14-city India tour celebrating Indo-Japanese cultural exchange. The tour, which began with performances in Chennai, Shillong, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, and Jaipur, is scheduled to conclude in Bangalore on December 21, 2025.

The company also unveiled the Toyota Experiential Museum (tem) on November 23, 2025, in Bangalore. The facility represents the company's first immersive lifestyle and cultural hub, blending Japanese aesthetics with Indian philosophy through multi-sensory experiences. The museum features three zones: immersive experience rooms, a curated merchandise shop, and a café serving authentic Japanese matcha.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor operates two manufacturing plants in Bidadi with a combined installed production capacity of up to 342,000 units annually. The company employs over 6,500 people and is a joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan (89% equity) and Kirloskar Systems Limited of India (11% equity).

The first plant, established in October 1997, manufactures the Innova HyCross, Innova Crysta, Fortuner, and Legender with a capacity of up to 132,000 units. The second plant, operational since December 2010, produces the Camry Hybrid, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Hilux with a capacity of up to 210,000 units.
