Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has received the prestigious 'Star Performer Award' at the 54th EEPC India National Export Awards ceremony held in New Delhi. The automotive manufacturer was recognised for outstanding export performance in the engineering products sector, specifically in the Engines & Parts category under the Large Enterprise segment for the 2021-22 export year.
The award ceremony, organised by the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) of India, was attended by several government officials and industry leaders, including Shri. Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Electronics and Information & Technology.
According to industry sources, TKM secured the award based on key performance indicators such as Free on Board (FoB) export value, net foreign exchange earned, and product range diversity. The company reported a significant 39% increase in Engines & Parts exports during the 2021-22 period, strengthening its position in global automotive supply chains.
This recognition follows TKM's earlier accolades at the EEPC India Southern Region Export Award Ceremony. The company previously received the 'Engines and Turbines & Parts, thereof – Large Enterprise' award for 2019-20 and the 'Gold Trophy' for Top Exporters under the Merchant Exporter category for 2020-21.
Industry analysts note that TKM continues to expand its export strategy while supporting the 'Make in India' initiative through increased localisation efforts and supply chain development. The company's growing export performance reflects India's emerging prominence as a global manufacturing hub in the automotive sector.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited (TKM) operates as a joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan and the Kirloskar Group of India. Established in 1997, the company manufactures and sells Toyota vehicles in the Indian market.
