Toyota Kirloskar Motor Launches TDRIVE With Patni Toyota In Raipur

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Launches TDRIVE With Patni Toyota In Raipur

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has inaugurated TDRIVE, its structured motor vehicle training initiative, in partnership with Patni Toyota in Raipur. The facility marks the first introduction of TDRIVE in Chhattisgarh and will serve as a regional motor vehicle training hub for the state and neighbouring regions.

The inauguration was attended by Tadashi Asazuma, Deputy Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor; Sachin Sharma, Vice President – East Region, Sales, Service and Used Car, TKM; and Umesh Patni, Dealer Principal, Patni Toyota, among other company and dealership representatives.

Asazuma said the Raipur facility forms part of TKM's road-safety efforts and is intended to provide drivers with training focused on driving skills and responsible driving practices. Umesh Patni said the partnership combines Toyota's training expertise with Patni Toyota's regional presence to support motor vehicle training in Chhattisgarh.

Toyota TDRIVE Training Programme In Raipur

TDRIVE combines classroom-based instruction with simulator sessions and supervised on-road training. The simulator sessions are developed within an actual vehicle, while the on-road component is intended to provide a transition from simulated conditions to real-world driving.

The programme is aligned with Toyota's stated 'Safe Society' philosophy and focuses on disciplined driving practices and road-safety awareness. TKM said the Patni Toyota facility will operate as a regional hub, extending the company's stated vision of zero road fatalities across Chhattisgarh and neighbouring regions.

TDRIVE Expands Toyota's Driving School Network

The Raipur launch adds another facility to Toyota's nationwide driving school network. TKM said the expansion is intended to extend its motor vehicle training presence and promote responsible driving practices.

The press release also provides TKM's corporate and manufacturing details. Toyota Motor Corporation holds an 89 percent stake in TKM, while Vikramgeet Investments and Holdings Private Limited holds the remaining 11 percent. TKM has 6,662 employees, with approximately 432 acres of land and a total installed production capacity of up to 3,42,000 units.

TKM's first plant at Bidadi, established in October 1997 with production beginning in December 1999, has an installed capacity of up to 1,32,000 units and manufactures the Innova HyCross, Innova Crysta, Fortuner and Legender. Its second plant, which began production in December 2010, has capacity of up to 2,10,000 units and produces the Camry Hybrid, Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Hilux.
