Texas Instruments Showcases Semiconductor Innovations for EVs and Smart Appliances at Electronica India 2025
TI debuts ultra-low-cost MCUs and high-efficiency EV charging systems; highlights include HVAC, vacuum motor control, and GaN-based adapters.
Texas Instruments (TI) is presenting its latest semiconductor technologies for energy infrastructure, automotive, and connected appliances at electronica India 2025, held from September 17–19 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre. The company’s exhibit in Hall 3, Booth D11 features demonstrations across HVAC systems, vacuum cleaners, and electric two-wheelers.
TI is introducing new ultra-low-cost devices in its C2000 real-time microcontroller portfolio, including the F28E120SC and F28E120SB MCUs. These enable smoother and more efficient motor control in appliances and tools. Demonstrations include noise reduction in HVAC fans using harmonic distortion algorithms and high-speed sensorless motor control in vacuum cleaners, with motors reaching up to 150,000 rpm.
In the electric mobility segment, TI is showcasing a 750W light EV charger powered by the UCC25661-Q1 LLC controller, designed for e-bikes and scooters. The charger uses TI’s patented input power proportional control (IPPC) for stable performance even at low battery levels.
Another highlight is an 11kW EV charging system powered by a single F29x C2000 MCU, combining high and low voltage conversion in one stage. The system achieves 97.6% efficiency and delivers 5.5 kW per liter of volume, enabling compact and fast-charging solutions.
TI is also demonstrating its high-voltage battery management system (BMS) for large battery packs, CC3551 wireless MCU with wake word detection for Edge AI audio control, and a 65W dual USB charger using integrated GaN technology, offering 2.3W per cubic inch power density.
Santhosh Kumar, President and Managing Director, TI India, said: “At electronica India 2025, TI is showcasing how our latest semiconductor innovations are enabling energy-efficient, smart and secure solutions that are essential for building a more sustainable future.”
