Tessolve Joins eSync Alliance to Advance Automotive Connectivity Standards
Tessolve joins eSync Alliance to bolster standardized OTA and data connectivity solutions for next-gen connected vehicles.
Tessolve, a global engineering solutions provider specializing in semiconductor and system design, has announced its membership in the eSync Alliance, a nonprofit organization focused on standardizing over-the-air (OTA) software updates and data collection in automotive electronics.
The partnership aims to integrate Tessolve's hardware and software capabilities with the eSync Alliance's standardized architecture for connected vehicles. Tessolve brings its TERA Edge HPC gateway, telematics control unit (TCU) cluster, and onboard diagnostic solutions to the collaboration.
The eSync Alliance operates a three-tier server-client-agent architecture designed to facilitate secure data pipelines connecting vehicle electronic control units (ECUs), sensors, and cloud services. The standardized approach is intended to reduce the time and resources suppliers spend adapting their products to different OTA protocols.
According to Srini Chinamilli, co-founder and CEO of Tessolve, the company's embedded systems engineering capabilities will support the deployment of OTA update and diagnostic frameworks across connected vehicle platforms. "By integrating Tessolve's embedded systems engineering capabilities with our TERA Edge HPC gateway, cluster, and diagnostic platforms, as well as secure connectivity solutions, we aim to accelerate the deployment of scalable, future-ready architectures for intelligent mobility," Chinamilli stated.
Mike Gardner, executive director of the eSync Alliance, highlighted Tessolve's expertise in areas including post-silicon validation, custom silicon design, chiplets, hardware design, and cybersecurity. "Tessolve's end-to-end expertise in embedded systems helps us accelerate this vision," Gardner said.
The eSync system is currently deployed in millions of vehicles worldwide. The alliance positions its standardized OTA bidirectional data pipeline as a solution for automakers and tier-1 suppliers seeking to implement remote software updates, diagnostics, and telematics capabilities.
Tessolve operates research and development centers focused on high-performance computing, system-level testing, high-speed interfaces, photonics, and 5G technologies. The company provides product development services for automotive, avionics, data center, industrial IoT, and semiconductor applications.
