Tesla has opened its first charging station in Gurugram, located at the DLF Horizon Center's surface parking area, marking another step in the company's infrastructure development across India.

The new facility is equipped with four V4 Superchargers capable of delivering peak charging speeds of 250 kW, alongside three Destination Chargers that provide 11 kW charging capacity. According to the company, a Model Y can gain approximately 275 kilometers of range within 15 minutes using the Superchargers.

Tesla reports that its charging network maintains 99.95% uptime. Users can manage their charging experience through the Tesla mobile application, which provides navigation to charging locations, real-time stall availability, charging progress monitoring, completion notifications, and payment processing.

With this launch, Tesla now operates three charging stations across India. The network includes 12 Superchargers and 10 Destination Chargers distributed across Gurugram, Delhi, and Mumbai. The Delhi location at Worldmark 3 features four Superchargers and three Destination Chargers, while the Mumbai facility at One BKC has four units of each charger type.

The company is hosting interactive workshops from December 17 to 21 at the Horizon Center location to demonstrate the charging technology and provide information about electric mobility solutions.

Tesla's Model Y is currently available in India starting at Rs 59,89,000, with home charging support included for customers.

The charging station opening follows the recent launch of Tesla's center in Gurugram's Orchid Business Park. The company operates additional experience centers in Aerocity, Delhi, and Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai.
