Tesla Opens Approved Body Shop in Ahmedabad, Expands Service Network

Tesla has opened a Tesla-Approved Body Shop (TAB) in Ahmedabad, expanding its after-sales and collision repair network in Gujarat. The facility provides Tesla owners with access to genuine parts, trained body repair technicians and collision repairs carried out to the company's specified standards.

The Ahmedabad facility is part of Tesla's broader expansion of its ownership and service support infrastructure in India. Tesla now has approved body shop availability in Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi and Ahmedabad, according to the company.

The company has also made its latest Model Y variants available for display and test drives in Ahmedabad. Customers can test drive the 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive and the Model Y L.

Tesla Model Y test drives now available in Ahmedabad

The Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive is priced at ₹50.89 lakh in India. It offers seating for five, 2,138 litres of storage space, power-folding seats and a claimed 0-100kmph acceleration time of 5.9 seconds. Tesla claims a WLTP range of up to 500km for the variant. Deliveries of the model began in July 2026.

The Model Y L, meanwhile, is a three-row, six-seat all-wheel-drive variant. Tesla claims up to 2,539 litres of cargo capacity, a 0-100kmph time of 5.0 seconds and a WLTP range of up to 681km. The model is priced from ₹61.99 lakh.

Tesla expands approved body shop network in India

Tesla said its Ahmedabad body shop adds to its existing network of approved repair facilities in major Indian cities. The company also offers home charging support across India and continues to expand its customer-facing infrastructure as it builds its presence in the country.

Tesla currently operates Experience Centres in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi and Gurugram, according to the release. The company said customers can register for Model Y test drives through its website or contact its toll-free number.

The expansion of Tesla's approved body shop network comes alongside the availability of its Model Y variants for test drives and deliveries in India, adding Ahmedabad to the company's growing network of customer support locations.
