Tesla Brings Model Y Pop-Up Experience to Gujarat's VR Surat

Tesla has launched its first pop-up experience in Gujarat at VR Surat, offering customers an immersive showcase of the Model Y electric vehicle from February 8 to 28, 2026.

The pop-up, located at VR Surat on Dumas Road, operates daily from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and allows visitors to explore the Model Y through guided walkarounds and interactive demonstrations. Customers can learn about the vehicle's design, safety features, and performance capabilities, as well as experience Tesla's charging infrastructure firsthand.

In a unique collaboration, the showcase integrates with the Dumas Art Project, combining automotive innovation with contemporary art and culture. The Model Y Kala Car serves as part of this artistic presentation within the VR Surat ecosystem.

Visitors to the pop-up can schedule test drives and complete vehicle bookings on-site. The timing coincides with Tesla's recently announced "Switch and Save" program, which offers a ₹3,00,000 exchange incentive for customers transitioning from petrol and diesel vehicles to electric. The program enables Model Y purchases with monthly installments starting at ₹49,000 and a down payment of ₹6,00,000.

The Model Y is available in India in two variants: the Rear-Wheel Drive model priced at ₹59,89,000 with a 500 km range, and the Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive at ₹67,89,000 with a 661 km range. The vehicle was the world's best-selling car in both 2023 and 2024, and received top safety ratings from Euro NCAP, IIHS, and ANCAP in 2025.

Tesla currently operates 16 Supercharging stations and 14 Destination Charging stations across India, with plans to expand the network further. The company maintains three permanent locations in India: Tesla Center Gurugram, and experience centers in Mumbai's BKC and Delhi's Aerocity.

Following the Surat launch, Tesla plans to expand its pop-up presence to VR Chennai, VR Nagpur, VR Bengaluru, and VR Amritsar in the coming months as part of its broader strategy to increase electric vehicle accessibility across India.
