TCS and AMD Form Strategic Partnership to Accelerate Enterprise AI Deployment

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at helping enterprises accelerate AI adoption, modernize legacy systems, and build secure digital workplaces through integrated technology solutions.

The partnership will focus on co-developing industry-specific AI and generative AI solutions by combining TCS's systems integration capabilities and global innovation ecosystem with AMD's high-performance computing and AI product portfolio. The collaboration addresses the growing need for enterprises to transition from AI experimentation to production-scale deployment.

Under the agreement, the companies will work together on several key initiatives. TCS and AMD plan to help organizations modernize hybrid cloud and edge environments, deploy AI-powered workplace solutions, and accelerate innovation across cloud-to-edge workloads. The partnership includes joint investment in talent development, with TCS rapidly upskilling and certifying its associates on AMD hardware and software technologies to build a pool of experts capable of co-innovating next-generation AI solutions.

The collaboration will develop industry-specific generative AI frameworks targeting sectors including life sciences for drug discovery applications, manufacturing for cognitive quality engineering and smart manufacturing, and banking, financial services, and insurance for intelligent risk management. Additionally, the partners will create tailored accelerators, frameworks, and best practices designed to enhance AI performance across both training and inference workloads.

Dr. Lisa Su, Chair and Chief Executive Officer of AMD, emphasized the importance of collaboration in realizing AI's potential. She noted that AMD is building an open, end-to-end compute foundation enabling AI across enterprises, with the TCS partnership helping customers translate AI innovation into growth opportunities across industries.

K. Krithivasan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of TCS, described the collaboration as a significant step in scaling AI for enterprise use. He highlighted that combining TCS's industry expertise with AMD's computing capabilities would enable organizations to move from experimentation to scale. Krithivasan stated the partnership advances TCS's ambition to become the world's largest AI-led technology services company.

Technology Integration

The partnership will leverage multiple AMD technology platforms. TCS will integrate AMD Ryzen CPU-powered client solutions for workplace transformation initiatives. For hybrid cloud and high-performance computing environments, the collaboration will utilize AMD EPYC CPUs, AMD Instinct GPUs, and AI accelerators. The AMD embedded computing portfolio, including adaptive System on Chips and Field Programmable Gate Arrays, will support edge innovation, inference capabilities, and industrial digitalization efforts.

TCS brings expertise in designing and delivering customized solutions powered by advanced semiconductors, enabling clients to access high-performance computing and adaptive technologies. This capability complements AMD's platforms to create a foundation for developing solutions that help enterprises adapt to the AI era.

AMD develops high-performance and AI computing solutions addressing computing challenges across cloud and AI infrastructure, embedded systems, AI PCs, and gaming applications. The company offers a portfolio of AI-optimized CPUs, GPUs, networking equipment, and software delivering full-stack AI solutions.

TCS, established in 1968 and part of the Tata Group, operates as a digital transformation and technology partner with a workforce of 590,000 employees across 55 countries and 202 service delivery centers globally. The company reported consolidated revenues exceeding USD 30 billion for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025. TCS maintains long-term client partnerships spanning multiple technology cycles, from mainframe computing in the 1970s to current artificial intelligence applications.

The partnership reflects broader industry trends toward scaling AI deployment beyond pilot projects and integrating AI capabilities across enterprise operations, with both companies positioned to address increasing demand for production-ready AI solutions across multiple sectors.
