Tata Power expands EV charging network in Eastern Uttar Pradesh
Tata Power has introduced new EV charging stations in Azamgarh and other cities, improving connectivity across Eastern UP
Tata Power, one of India’s integrated power companies and a provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has announced the deployment of a new EV charging station in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. This installation aims to enhance connectivity across Eastern UP, connecting cities such as Sultanpur, Ballia, and Gorakhpur. The project opens a corridor from Ballia to Lucknow, facilitating greater accessibility for EV users.
The new infrastructure includes a 30kW charger at Puneet Auto Sales in Ballia, marking the starting point of this network, while another 30kW charger is available at the Sarvodya Digital Library in Azamgarh, supporting travel over a distance of 130 kilometers. Further along the route, Sultanpur features a 30kW charger at Motel Nh56, followed by a 60kW fast charger at Shalimar Corporate Park in Lucknow.
This initiative enhances connectivity from Eastern to Western UP and aligns with Tata Power’s goal of supporting India's transition to electric mobility by building an accessible EV charging infrastructure. The company aims to bridge infrastructure gaps and meet the growing demand for electric vehicles by deploying charging stations at strategic locations such as hotels, highways, malls, car dealerships, and offices.
Tata Power has developed an extensive EZ Charge network, which includes more than 100,000 home charger installations and over 5,500 charging points across various segments, covering over 550 cities and towns. The network also includes more than 1,100 bus charging points, with operations in cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Jammu.
