Tata Power and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM) have recorded more than 70,000 charging sessions across 10 co-branded Tata Power x TATA.ev Mega Charger hubs in India. The hubs have clocked more than 85,000 charging hours, supporting over 75 lakh electric kilometres, according to the companies.
The network spans Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh and comprises 25 fast chargers and 56 charging guns, with a combined capacity of 2.7MW. Individual hubs have capacities ranging from 180kW to 600kW, allowing multiple EVs to charge simultaneously.
The 10 hubs are positioned across key intercity corridors as well as Mumbai and Hyderabad. Four are located along the Yamuna Expressway between Greater Noida and Agra, while three are on the Hyderabad–Vijayawada corridor. Another hub serves the Bengaluru–Tirupati route and one is located on the Pune–Bengaluru corridor. The network also includes intra-city hubs in Mumbai and Hyderabad.
Tata Power x TATA.ev Mega Charger Locations
The largest facility in the network is the Leela Mega Charger in Mumbai, located near Terminal 2 of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. It has 16 charging guns, comprising six 60kW chargers and two 120kW fast chargers, with a total capacity of 600kW. The site can charge up to 16 EVs simultaneously and is intended to serve private EVs, taxis, ride-hailing fleets and other high-frequency users.
The locations listed in the release include 7 Midway Plaza–Suryapet, Hotel Vivera Narketpalle and ILabs in Telangana; Retreat Restro in Andhra Pradesh; Sai International, Sangli, in Maharashtra; four charging stations along the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh; and The Leela Mega Charger Hub in Mumbai.
Tata Power EV Charging Network Expansion
The 10 hubs form part of Tata Power's wider EV charging network. The company says its broader ecosystem includes more than 6,700 public and captive charging points, over 2.5 lakh home chargers and more than 1,200 bus charging points across more than 690 cities and towns. It has set a target of 10,000 public charging points and 7.5 lakh home chargers by 2030.
The TATA.ev Mega Charging Hub initiative is focused on deploying high-speed charging facilities with multiple charging bays along highway corridors and in urban EV locations. Many of the hubs can be accessed through the Tata Power EZ Charge app.
