Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles delivered more than 50,000 vehicles during Navratri 2026, including over 10,000 units on Dussehra alone, as the automaker reported higher customer interest across its cars and SUVs. The company said improved consumer sentiment had resulted in increased showroom visits, enquiries, bookings and deliveries during the festive period.

“We are seeing strong festive cheer resulting in robust demand across our multi-powertrain portfolio of cars and SUVs, with improved customer sentiment driving higher showroom walk-ins, enquiries, bookings and deliveries,” said Amit Kamat, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd.

“The response during Navratri has been particularly encouraging, with over 50,000 vehicles delivered during this festive period, including more than 10,000 on Dussehra alone,” Kamat added.

The automaker has stepped up production and strengthened logistics operations to improve the availability of models and variants witnessing higher demand. The measures are aimed at meeting customer requirements during the festive buying period, particularly as celebrations move towards Dhanteras and Diwali.

“As families across the country celebrate and welcome new beginnings, we are working hard to ensure that more customers can bring home the Tata car of their choice,” Kamat said. He added that the company had increased production and sharpened logistics to improve vehicle availability.

Tata Motors also reported a healthy booking pipeline ahead of Diwali, although it did not disclose the number of pending bookings or provide model-wise delivery figures. The company expects the current festive momentum to continue through the remaining celebrations.

According to provisional data released by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), passenger vehicle registrations across India reached 1,82,728 units during Navratri 2026, an increase of 10.39% over the 1,65,534 units recorded during Navratri 2024. Compared with Navratri 2025, passenger vehicle registrations declined 21.91%, although FADA noted that last year’s festive period extended to 11 days, against 10 days this year.

Total automobile retail registrations stood at 11,23,086 units during Navratri 2026, representing growth of 26.76% over the comparable 2024 period. Two-wheeler registrations increased 32.41% to 8,34,075 units, while electric passenger vehicle registrations grew 25.97% year-on-year to 12,305 units.
