Tata Motors delivers 10K Tiago.evs in less than four months

Tata Motors, which is currently ranked No. 3 after Maruti Suzuki India and Hyundai Motor India, has delivered 10k Tiago.evs in less than four months. This announcement comes shortly after the Tiago.ev became the ‘Fastest Booked EV in India’, receiving 10K bookings in just 24 hours and 20K bookings by December 2022, as per the press release.

With almost 90% of the charging being done at home, all customers put together have already saved over Rs 7 crore when compared to the running cost of ICE cars, the press release notes.

Vivek Srivatsa, Head, Marketing, Sales and Service Strategy, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility said that the Tiago.ev was launched with an aim to democratise the EV experience. “It was a result of our ambition to fast forward the ongoing evolution towards the future of mobility by introducing a car that would encourage rapid adoption of EVs. And, we are so happy to see our vision realise as 10K families said yes to Go.ev with the Tiago.ev,” he added.

He further added that the trust in their offering was evident from the healthy demand the product witnesses, especially amongst young, career starting customers, who are well exposed to the recent developments in tech. Latest trends also showcase the affinity of young women drivers towards the car for the ease of driving it provides.

Tata Motors, which has clocked half-a-million sales in both CY2022 and FY2023, has begun FY2023 with sales of 47,107 units in April 2023, up 13.15% year on year (April 2022: 41,630 units) and 6.95% better than March 2023’s 44,044 units.
