Ashok Leyland-backed Switch Mobility has announced that they will be showcasing a range of eLCVs christened as the IeV series at the AutoExpo 2023. The range will be targeted at last mile and mid-mile mobility applications. A new range of electric buses in the EiV series is also in the offing.

While eLCVs in India are yet to take off due to limitations in charging infrastructure and high battery cost, Switch's eLCV will start the next stage of electrification in the inter-city range of 250-300 km. With green hydrogen still to mature, the target market is the logistics arena with firms looking to achieve ESG goals with cleaner mobility alternatives.
