SWITCH Mobility Ltd, a subsidiary of the Hinduja Group, unveiled the SWITCH IeV8, an electric light commercial vehicle (eLCV) in the 7.2-tonne category, at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025.
The IeV8 features advanced lithium battery technology, providing a range of 250 kilometers on a single charge. With a payload capacity of up to four tonnes and container compatibility of 830 cubic feet, it is suitable for diverse logistics applications. The vehicle includes fast-charging capabilities, ensuring reduced downtime and uninterrupted operations.
Driver comfort and safety are emphasized with features such as Electro-Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS), an air-conditioned cabin, tiltable steering, and sliding and reclining seats. The IeV8 is also equipped with SWITCH iON, a proprietary telematics system offering real-time vehicle monitoring and fleet management capabilities.
