Swiggy and Hero Motocorp Partner on Delivery Partner Mobility

Swiggy and Hero MotoCorp have entered into a partnership to provide delivery partners associated with Swiggy Food Marketplace and Instamart access to Hero MotoCorp two-wheelers, financing options and road safety training.

Under the arrangement, Swiggy delivery partners will be able to select a preferred Hero model through the Swiggy app and access exclusive pricing at Hero dealerships. The partnership also includes financing options with up to 90% loan-to-value (LTV) and what the companies described as competitive interest rates.

The companies marked the partnership with a road safety training session for Swiggy delivery partners at Hero MotoCorp's Traffic Training Park in Gurugram. Participants were provided with a full-face helmet, medical kit, certificate and reflective safety vest.

The partnership is aimed at reducing barriers to two-wheeler ownership for delivery partners through preferential vehicle pricing and customised financing.

Saurav Goyal, Chief Operating Officer, Food Marketplace at Swiggy, said access to personal mobility could help delivery partners improve earning opportunities and provide greater flexibility in their day-to-day work. He said the partnership would offer curated pricing, financing and a purchase process designed for Swiggy's delivery partners.

Ashutosh Varma, Chief Business Officer at Hero MotoCorp, said the partnership would combine access to two-wheelers with financing and road safety training for delivery partners.

Financing and road safety training under the partnership

As part of the collaboration, Hero MotoCorp will conduct road safety training programmes for Swiggy riders across India under its Ride Safe India CSR initiative.

According to the companies, the sessions will combine digital learning with instructor-led practical training covering preventive safety practices, hazard anticipation, responsible riding behaviour, traffic rule compliance and emergency response.

How the Swiggy-Hero MotoCorp purchase process will work

The purchase process will be supported through API integration between the Swiggy app and Hero MotoCorp's systems. A delivery partner can register a preferred vehicle choice through the app and access the applicable product and finance benefits.

Delivery partners can also visit a selected Hero MotoCorp dealership, where dedicated customer support will guide them through the purchase process.
