Swaraj Tractors launches next-gen Swaraj 8200 Smart Harvester for Indian farmers

Swaraj Tractors, a division of Mahindra & Mahindra, has unveiled its latest innovation, the Swaraj 8200 Smart Harvester, designed to cater to the needs of Indian farmers. Launched in the kharif season, the harvester demonstrated exceptional performance in harvesting crops like paddy and soya bean. With the success of its debut, the company anticipates robust demand for the harvester in the upcoming rabi season.

The Swaraj 8200 Smart Harvester is the culmination of extensive technology development at Swaraj’s R&D facility in Mohali, supported by Mahindra & Mahindra’s Harvester R&D facility in Finland, Europe. In anticipation of the strong growth of its harvester products, the company has established a dedicated harvester plant in Pithampur. The facility is equipped with cutting-edge machinery for part manufacturing, a modern paint shop, dedicated assembly lines, and comprehensive test facilities.

Boasting industry-first features, enhanced durability, and unmatched service catering to specific crop needs, the Swaraj 8200 Smart Harvester provides a comprehensive harvesting solution. It introduces a pioneering Intelligent Harvesting System that delivers real-time information on harvested acres, live location tracking, road kilometers traveled, and fuel consumption. This empowers farmers with better decision-making, operational efficiency, and maximised profits.

The harvester is powered by an in-house developed and manufactured engine, offering best-in-class fuel economy and adhering to environmentally friendly BS IV emission standards. Kairas Vakharia, Senior Vice President & Business Head, Farm Machinery, Mahindra & Mahindra, stated, “Swaraj has been a pioneer in harvesting technology in India, and the new 8200 Smart Harvester builds on this legacy by setting a new technology benchmark. The Intelligent Harvesting System, along with our 24x7 monitoring and support, ensures unmatched customer service standards.”

The Intelligent Harvesting System enables the company’s service and product support team to provide continuous monitoring of the harvester’s performance and health. The support includes health alerts and personalised assistance through a dedicated relationship manager and app-based video calling, ensuring prompt on-farm service. The Swaraj 8200 Smart Harvester is available through Swaraj’s extensive tractor dealer network across India.
