Suzuki Opens Bookings for e-ACCESS Electric Scooter

Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited has announced the commencement of bookings for the Suzuki e-ACCESS, the company's first electric scooter and its inaugural entry into the global electric two-wheeler market.

The e-ACCESS is priced at INR 1,88,490 (ex-showroom Delhi) and is available for booking at authorized Suzuki dealerships across India. The company has also announced that the scooter will be available for purchase through e-commerce platform Flipkart once sales begin.

The launch introduces a new dual-tone color option, Metallic Mat Stellar Blue with Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray, expanding the e-ACCESS lineup to four color variants. The other options include Metallic Mat Black No.2 with Metallic Mat Bordeaux Red, Pearl Grace White with Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray, and Pearl Jade Green with Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray.

"The Suzuki e-ACCESS represents Suzuki's first global strategic battery electric vehicle," said Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director of Suzuki Motorcycle India. He highlighted the scooter's long-life battery, agile handling, and seamless acceleration as key features.

The e-ACCESS is powered by Suzuki e-Technology and features a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, which the company claims offers up to four times longer battery life than Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) batteries. The scooter is equipped with a 4.1 kW motor delivering 15 Nm torque and maintains consistent performance even at 10 percent state of charge.

Technical features include three ride modes (Eco, Ride A, and Ride B), reverse mode, and regenerative braking. The lightweight chassis incorporates an aluminum battery case integrated into the frame. Additional specifications include LED lighting, two-tone alloy wheels, and a maintenance-free drive belt with a lifespan of up to seven years or 70,000 kilometers.

Suzuki Motorcycle India has established charging infrastructure at over 1,200 outlets nationwide. DC chargers are currently available at more than 240 locations, with AC portable chargers accessible at all outlets. The company has also deployed certified EV technicians and dedicated tools across its service network.

The manufacturer is offering several incentives for buyers, including an extended warranty of up to seven years or 80,000 kilometers at no additional cost. An introductory buy-back assurance of up to 60 percent after three years is also available. Existing Suzuki customers can receive a loyalty bonus of up to INR 10,000, while new customers are eligible for a welcome bonus of up to INR 7,000. Retail finance options start at an interest rate of 5.99 percent, and flexible rental options ranging from 24 hours to three years are offered.

Suzuki Motorcycle India, a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation of Japan, began operations in India in February 2006. The company operates a manufacturing facility in Kherki Daula, Gurugram, Haryana, with an annual production capacity of 1.3 million units.
