Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. marked 20 years of operations in India on April 23, 2026. The two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation began its domestic operations in 2006 with the introduction of the Suzuki Heat 125 and Suzuki Zeus 125 motorcycles, followed by the Access 125 scooter in 2007.

Over the past two decades, the company has expanded its portfolio and recently achieved a production milestone of 10 million two-wheelers in India. The current domestic lineup includes scooters such as the Access, Burgman, and Avenis, alongside the GIXXER series, the V-Strom SX, and higher displacement models like the Hayabusa, GSX-8R, and V-Strom 800 DE. The manufacturer also produces the eACCESS electric scooter and the GIXXER SF 250 FFV, which utilizes E85-compliant flex-fuel technology.

According to Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director of Suzuki Motorcycle India, the company has doubled its sales over the past four years. The manufacturer currently operates 1,240 touchpoints across India and works with 212 suppliers. Vehicles produced at the company's Gurugram facility are exported to 77 countries.

Looking forward, the company has initiated groundwork for a second manufacturing plant located in Kharkhoda. Umeda noted that the company's future growth strategy will involve a multi-pathway approach to carbon neutrality, incorporating diverse fuel and power solutions for the Indian market.
