Suzuki Motorcycle India sales up by 12% in April 2024

The company achieved all-time high sales of 88,067 units in the domestic market.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), the subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, announced its sales figures for April 2024. The company recorded total sales of 99,377 units during the month, marking a 12% growth compared to April 2023, when it sold 88,731 units.

April 2024 witnessed a significant milestone for SMIPL, with the company achieving its highest-ever domestic sales of 88,067 units, reflecting a remarkable 31% growth compared to April 2023's sales of 67,259 units. However, exports were lower, with 11,310 units exported in April 2024, down from 21,472 units in April 2023.

Speaking on the company’s sales performance, Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President, Sales, Marketing & After Sales, Suzuki Motorcycle India said, “We have had a very encouraging start this Financial Year with the month of April marking our highest ever domestic sale. As we experience continual growth in our sales volume, we are humbled and overwhelmed by the ever-increasing patronage that Brand Suzuki has been receiving from the Indian Two-Wheeler Customers. We would also like to thank each member of our Dealer Network and all our business associates without whose support and collaboration this accomplishment would not have been possible. We are determined to come up to the expectations of our customers and continue this momentum going forward as well.”

In April 2024, SMIPL celebrated the 8-million cumulative two-wheeler production milestone. The company also launched the 25th Anniversary Edition of its Flagship Motorcycle Hayabusa.
