Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. recorded total sales of 1,25,786 units in January 2026, marking a 15% increase over the 1,08,921 units sold in January 2025. The growth was driven by increases in both domestic and export markets.
The two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, reported domestic sales of 1,00,296 units, a 14% increase compared to 87,834 units in January 2025. Exports grew 21%, reaching 25,490 units against 21,087 units during the same month last year.
The January performance follows a 30% sales growth recorded by the company in November 2025, when it sold 1,22,300 units. Export volumes in November had increased 62% to 25,940 units.
Deepak Mutreja, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Suzuki Motorcycle India, attributed the January results to demand growth in domestic and international markets. He stated that the company would continue to invest in customer engagement, after-sales service, and network expansion.
The company's spare parts sales generated revenue of INR 895.6 million in January 2026, representing a 20% increase over the previous year.
January 2026 marked a production milestone for the company, which surpassed 10 million units in cumulative production since beginning operations in India. The company also commenced sales of its first electric scooter, the Suzuki e-Access, during the month.
Suzuki introduced new color options for the GIXXER SF 250 and GIXXER 250 motorcycle models in January.
The company organized several customer initiatives during January, including the Suzuki Matsuri in Hyderabad, which attracted more than 3,700 riders and customers. The Suzuki Access Mileage Contest in Patna engaged 70 owners and prospective buyers, while the GIXXER Pit Stop program in Mangalore, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Surat, and Kolkata connected with around 300 riders and enthusiasts.
Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited operates a manufacturing plant at Kherki Daula, Gurugram, Haryana, with an annual production capacity of 1.3 million units. The facility produces 125cc scooters, motorcycles of 150cc and above, and larger displacement motorcycles for the Indian market. The company started operations in February 2006.
