Suzuki Hayabusa price up by Rs 1.16 lakh under GST 2.0
Apart from the Hayabusa, Suzuki’s two other big bikes, the V-Strom 800DE and GSX-8R, have also become more expensive.
Suzuki Hayabusa price in India is now Rs 18.06 lakh (ex-showroom,Delhi), up from Rs 16.90 lakh, thanks to the updated GST 2.0 tax slabs. While sub-350cc machines have become more affordable, large-capacity big bikes are feeling the pinch and Suzuki’s Hayabusa seems to be among the most affected.
The popular Hayabusa remains the crown jewel in Suzuki’s India two wheeler portfolio and continues to enjoy a cult following in India. In fact, FY2025 was a record year for the legendary machine, with 511 units sold — the highest since its launch in the country.
The Hayabusa also dominated the 1,000–1,600cc segment with a commanding 57 percent market share. However, the revised GST rates are expected to dampen this momentum in FY2026, as the new pricing pushes the Busa at a higher price point than before.
Apart from the Hayabusa, Suzuki’s two other big bikes, the V-Strom 800DE and GSX-8R, have also become more expensive. The Suzuki V-Strom adventure tourer is now priced at Rs 11.01 lakh, marking a Rs 71,000 increase, while the Suzuki GSX-8R sports tourer has seen a Rs 64,000 bump, taking it to Rs 9.89 lakh (Ex-showroom).
Interestingly, while Suzuki’s big bikes are bearing the brunt of higher taxes, the brand has confirmed that it is fully passing on the GST benefits to customers in the sub-350cc category. As a result, models like the Gixxer SF 250 have seen reductions of up to Rs 18,024.
With the Katana now discontinued, Suzuki’s big bike range in India is down to just three models — all of which are now significantly pricier than before.
