SAE INDIA, an affiliate of SAE International, has announced a series of structured technical programmes ahead of SUPRA SAEINDIA 2026, its annual Formula Student competition, aimed at improving team readiness and ensuring compliance with international Formula Student standards.
The initiative centres on a workshop series scheduled across three cities in February 2026. Sessions will be held on 14 February at PSG College of Technology in Coimbatore, 21 February at Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University in Pune, and 28 February at KIET University in Ghaziabad. The workshops will cover rulebook interpretation, compliance strategy, documentation, and technical inspection readiness, with a particular emphasis on safety scrutiny parameters.
In March 2026, Ansys — a Synopsys company — will conduct an online technical software training programme, giving participating teams access to industry-grade tools for simulation, validation, and performance analysis.
Teams will also have the opportunity to interact with Race Directors from the Formula E outfit Envision Racing, providing exposure to international electric racing standards, professional engineering practices, and operational structures at the highest level of the sport.
SUPRA SAEINDIA 2026 has drawn participation from 74 institutions across 15 states, with more than 2,500 students engaged. The organisers describe the programme as going beyond competition to create a regulation-driven, industry-connected learning platform for the next generation of automotive engineers.
