Stellantis Opens Dual-Brand Dealership in Goa, Bringing Jeep and Citroën Under One Roof

The automaker's new Stellantis Brand House in Panaji marks an expansion of its multi-brand retail format in western India, with Goa's Chief Minister attending the inauguration.

Stellantis India inaugurated a dual-brand dealership in Goa on Tuesday, housing both its Jeep and Citroën vehicle lines at a single facility operated by the Caculo Group. Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant attended the opening ceremony alongside Stellantis India CEO and Managing Director Shailesh Hazela and Caculo Group Chairman and Managing Director Manoj M. Caculo. The event also coincided with the Caculo Group's centenary in the automobile industry — a milestone that drew acknowledgement from the state's top official.

The facility, operating under Stellantis' Brand House (SBH) format, spans 4,000 square metres and includes a 10-bay service workshop. It provides full sales, service, and spare parts support for both Jeep and Citroën, and is staffed by trained technical teams equipped with diagnostic tools for routine and specialised maintenance. The dealership is designed around what the company describes as a "phygital" retail model — integrating in-person and digital touchpoints so that customers can browse, configure, and transact across both channels. Stellantis says the format is intended to offer greater convenience, pricing transparency, and a degree of personalisation that a single-brand outlet may not provide.

Hazela said Goa represents a strategically relevant market for the company. "With this new dealership, we are strengthening our commitment to Goa and ensuring that customers here have seamless access to our offerings — whether they seek the comfort-first approach of Citroën or the adventure DNA of Jeep," he said. He added that the Caculo Group's established reputation in the state made it a natural partner for the expansion.

The two brands under the Brand House roof are positioned to address different buyer segments. Jeep, which has been in continuous production for over 80 years and is known primarily for its off-road heritage, is marketed in Goa as a fit for the state's terrain, outdoor culture, and tourism-driven mobility patterns. Citroën, a French marque with over a century of history, targets buyers who prioritise ride comfort, fuel efficiency, and contemporary styling. The combined portfolio spans SUVs, family vehicles, and electric vehicles, and is intended to serve both personal and commercial mobility requirements across North and South Goa.

The Caculo Group, which has been operating in Goa's retail mobility sector for four generations, brings considerable local market knowledge to the partnership. Speaking at the inauguration, Chief Minister Sawant noted the group's role in making international brands accessible to Goan consumers. "From introducing international brands through Caculo Mall to creating employment for over 500 people, their contribution to both the automobile and service sectors has opened immense opportunities in the state," he said. He also pointed to the broader growth of Goa's automotive market as a factor that continues to attract new brands to the state.

Caculo said the partnership reflected shared values around customer service and quality. "For more than ten decades, the Caculo Group has remained committed to delivering quality and trust to customers across Goa. We are proud to partner with Stellantis to bring Citroën's global expertise and customer-first philosophy to the state," he said, adding that the facility was designed to offer a world-class experience to every customer.

The Goa opening is part of a wider retail strategy that Stellantis India has been pursuing across the country. The company has been rolling out Brand House locations — consolidating its multiple marques under co-located dealerships — as a way to reduce operational fragmentation, improve customer reach, and build a more recognisable retail identity. The western region, which includes Maharashtra and Goa, is considered a high-potential market due to its concentration of premium car buyers, a growing youth demographic, and robust tourism activity that drives demand for capable, lifestyle-oriented vehicles.

The company entered the Indian market with Jeep in 2016 and later introduced Citroën in 2021, initially through vehicles assembled at its manufacturing facility in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. Since then, it has been steadily building its dealer network, with the Brand House format representing its current retail standard for markets where both brands have sufficient demand to operate from a shared facility.
