Stellantis India CFO Gautam Pandey Steps Down

Gautam Pandey has stepped down as the chief financial officer of Stellantis India, people familiar with the development told Autocar Professional. Pandey headed the automaker’s finance function in India, with responsibility for financial planning, reporting and compliance.

Before joining Stellantis India, Pandey worked with Nissan, Ford and Tata Power. He is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi.

His departure comes as Stellantis seeks to build scale in India across products, manufacturing, exports and retail. The company currently sells vehicles under the Jeep and Citroën brands and has also announced plans to introduce the Leapmotor electric vehicle brand in the country.

Stellantis India is led by managing director and CEO Shailesh Hazela. The company reorganised some of its senior leadership responsibilities in May 2025 as it prepared for the addition of Leapmotor and sought to strengthen the Jeep and Citroën businesses.

Stellantis has been looking to improve capacity utilisation at its Indian plants by growing exports alongside domestic sales. Citroën vehicles manufactured in India are exported to markets including South Africa, while the locally developed Smart Car platform supports products for India and other emerging markets.

The company has also been expanding the Stellantis Brand House format, bringing Jeep and Citroën sales and service operations together at common outlets to widen the reach of both brands.

The reason for Pandey’s departure and his next assignment could not be immediately ascertained. Stellantis India’s response and details of his successor are awaited.
