Steelbird Helmets aims to manufacture 10 million helmets in FY 2023-24 

This expansion is a direct response to the escalating demand for top-tier helmets, driven by a growing global awareness of road safety.

Steelbird Helmets has set a target of producing 10 million helmets during the fiscal year 2023-24. The Delhi-based helmet maker intends to ramp up its manufacturing capacity, targeting an output of 40,000 helmets daily within the next 18 months.

This expansion is a direct response to the escalating demand for top-tier helmets, driven by a growing global awareness of road safety.

Rajeev Kapur, the Managing Director of Steelbird said, "Our aspiration to produce 10 million helmets signifies our unwavering commitment to riders globally. With ECE-certified helmets, we're not only upholding stringent safety standards but also advancing towards global dominance. The launch of our initiative
aligns with our expansion goals." 

He further said, "Over the past 24 months, Steelbird Helmets has been resolutely committed to advancing our manufacturing capabilities. We have
embarked on a transformative journey that encompasses cutting-edge technology, including the full automation of our helmet manufacturing facilities in Baddi Noida. We have  introduced robotic visor coating facilities and an automated paint shop with an incredible capacity to paint 10 shells in just 60 seconds." 

He further added that with an investment of Rs 150 crore, the company is committed to enhancing its manufacturing capacity, addin that they have allocated a capex of Rs 105 crore to fuel ongoing expansions.
