Steel Strips Wheels Limited (SSWL) recorded its highest-ever monthly net turnover of Rs. 592.92 crore in August 2026, up from Rs. 385.98 crore in August 2025, representing a year-on-year growth of 53.62%.
Gross turnover for the month stood at Rs. 687.51 crore, compared to Rs. 475.06 crore in the same period last year, a rise of 44.72%. The company disclosed the figures to BSE and NSE on September 1, 2026, noting that August marked the second consecutive month of record turnover.
Growth was recorded across every segment the company operates in, both by volume and by value. In volume terms, overall growth across domestic and export markets came in at 24% year-on-year, while total value growth reached 54%, indicating a favourable shift in product or customer mix, or both.
Aluminium and EV Wheel Segments Drive Growth
Among individual segments, aluminium products posted the steepest value growth at 73% year-on-year. The company attributed this to continued ramp-up of volumes for passenger vehicle and electric vehicle platforms, reflecting broader industry trends around lightweighting and the gradual shift toward EVs in the Indian automotive market. The 2 & 3 wheeler segment grew 61% by value, while the truck segment expanded 53%, supported by sustained offtake from commercial vehicle manufacturers.
Passenger car steel wheels and the tractor segment recorded comparatively moderate growth of 21% and 16% by value, respectively. Overall exports grew 63% by value, though volume growth in that segment was more subdued at 7%, pointing to a higher realisation per unit rather than a significant increase in shipment quantities.
Recovery in Indian Auto Sector Supports SSWL's Growth
The results come against the backdrop of a recovering Indian automotive sector, where original equipment manufacturers across categories have reported improved production and dispatches through 2025 and into 2026. Rising demand for EVs and increased localization of components have also supported suppliers like SSWL that have invested in aluminium wheel capacity.
SSWL manufactures steel and aluminium wheels for a range of vehicle categories including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, two and three-wheelers, tractors, and electric vehicles. Headquartered in Chandigarh, the company supplies primarily to original equipment manufacturers and operates multiple manufacturing facilities across India.
