SPR Auto Technologies reported a 14 percent year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit for Q2 FY27, reaching Rs 162.30 crore compared to Rs 142.10 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

Profit attributable to the owners of the company stood at Rs 158.50 crore against Rs 139.90 crore in Q2 FY26. On a sequential basis, net profit grew 10 percent from Rs 147.70 crore recorded in the first quarter of FY27.

On a standalone basis, net profit for Q2 FY27 actually declined 11 percent to Rs 118.90 crore from Rs 133.90 crore in Q2 FY26, as standalone expenses increased 24 percent to Rs 891.20 crore against a 17 percent growth in standalone operational revenue to Rs 1,026.20 crore.

Consolidated revenue from operations for Q2 FY27 expanded 62 percent year-on-year to Rs 1,648.20 crore from Rs 1,016.50 crore in Q2 FY26.

The sharp top-line growth reflects the consolidation of newly acquired entities, including three Indian interior and lighting businesses acquired from Spain's Grupo Antolin effective January 8, 2026. For H1 FY27, consolidated operational revenue stood at Rs 3,122.60 crore, up 58 percent compared to Rs 1,979.80 crore in H1 FY26.

Consolidated total expenses for the quarter rose 72 percent year-on-year to Rs 1,461.70 crore compared to Rs 850.30 crore in Q2 FY26, outpacing revenue growth. Input costs drove the rise in expenditure, with the cost of materials consumed more than doubling to Rs 859.80 crore from Rs 420.50 crore in the year-ago period.

Auditor notes accompanying the financial results highlighted that during the quarter, the company completed a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) on August 20, 2026, raising Rs 1,000 crore through the issuance of 23,36,448 equity shares. Out of the net proceeds, Rs 735.80 crore was utilised toward debt repayment and corporate purposes, while Rs 251.20 crore was temporarily parked in approved financial instruments pending deployment.
