Sonalika Tractors Reports Record Q1 Sales of 43,603 Units

Sonalika Tractors recorded its highest first-quarter sales performance with 43,603 tractors sold during April-June 2025, marking a significant milestone for the company in FY'26. The sales figure represents the company's strongest Q1 performance to date.

The tractor manufacturer attributed the growth to favorable monsoon conditions across India, which have supported increased Kharif sowing activity compared to the previous year. The company noted that farmers have shown increased demand for agricultural equipment during the current planting season.

Raman Mittal, Joint Managing Director of International Tractors Limited, which owns the Sonalika brand, said the results reflect the company's focus on farmer requirements. "We are happy that it has steered us to record our highest ever Q1 overall sales of 43,603 tractors which is inclusive of our best ever June performance," Mittal stated.

The company operates across the 20-120 horsepower tractor segment and maintains a manufacturing facility in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Sonalika produces tractors using robotic and automation technologies, with the capacity to manufacture one tractor every two minutes at its integrated plant.

Sonalika positions itself as India's leading tractor export brand and employs over 400 engineering specialists who develop products based on farmer feedback. The company customizes its tractors for different crop and soil requirements across various agricultural regions.

The agricultural sector has shown signs of recovery this year, with improved monsoon patterns supporting crop planting activities. Industry observers note that better rainfall distribution has encouraged farmers to increase their equipment purchases for the current agricultural season.

The company's Q1 performance comes as the broader agricultural machinery sector benefits from government support programs and improved rural income levels. Tractor sales traditionally peak during monsoon months when farmers prepare for the Kharif cropping season.

Sonalika's manufacturing operations focus on producing heavy-duty tractors designed for Indian farming conditions. The company has invested in research and development to create technology-enabled solutions for agricultural productivity.
