Sonalika Tractors marked the production of its 20 lakhth (2 millionth) tractor at its manufacturing facility in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, which the company describes as the world's largest integrated tractor plant. The milestone coincides with the company completing 30 years since it rolled out its first tractor in 1996.

The company said the Hoshiarpur facility has grown from producing two tractors a day at its inception to rolling out one every two minutes today. Sonalika, which describes itself as India's largest tractor exporter, said its products are sold in more than 150 countries and that the plant manufactures components in-house.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Amrit Sagar Mittal, Vice Chairman of International Tractors Limited, said the milestone reflected the company's three-decade focus on farmer welfare, describing it as tied to the belief that farmer prosperity underpins national growth.

Dr. Deepak Mittal, Managing Director of International Tractors Limited, said the achievement demonstrated the reach of Indian manufacturing and reaffirmed the company's plans to expand its international presence.

Raman Mittal, Joint Managing Director of International Tractors Limited, said the plant's in-house manufacturing capabilities underpinned the durability of its tractors and reiterated the company's stated goal of extending its reach from Hoshiarpur to farmers worldwide.

Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, Sonalika Tractors describes itself as India's largest tractor exporter, with operations spanning more than 150 countries. The company, which features among India's Fortune 500 companies, says it was the first in the industry to publish tractor prices and service costs publicly. It is marking 30 years of operations in 2026.
